Christmas Day - Connecting the Dots (English version below)
--------------------------
First and foremost, I would like to wish my readers who are Christians or Catholics a Blessed Christmas.
Christmas Day, as the name implies, commemorates the birth of Lord Jesus Christ. He is a Saint who descended into this world to bring salvation to mankind, but alas, the people in his time were ignorant and unable to see His true self. There were insufficient merits generated for the propagation of the Gospel, and in a short span of 3 years, the Saviour was cruelly persecuted by the very flock He wanted to save. Lord Jesus, however, did not blame the people and even mitigated on their behalf to His Father to forgive their ignorance. He was willing to use His own blood to atone for the sins of the people. Not only did Lord Jesus displayed equality in His love, He also has a very strong threshold of endurance in the face of humiliation, which are totally aligned with the qualities of Endurance and Giving, two of the Six Paramitas in Buddhism.
Saints and deities descended from the Heavens to spread the Teachings, through different religions. In the Heavenly realm, they are the same teachings, with no conflicts or disparity. These differences only exist in the human minds. Men have squabbled and even fought wars against each other in the name of religion. Even though I am a Buddhist, I hold deep reverence to the saints and deities of other religions. Whenever I am at a client's residence for Feng Shui audit, I would respectfully put my palms together and pay homage to the Saints (Mother Mary, Lord Jesus, Saint Joseph, Lord Ganesha etc.) at their altars. All in the name of Equality.
Christmas Day should not be a day of parties, gatherings and merry-making. Instead, this should be the day for all believers (Christians and Catholics), and non-believers alike (that includes everyone of us) to first repent our sins, and make a vow to the Saint or Deity, whom you worship, to do at least one good deed that will benefit this world. Expand the reach of your love beyond yourself and your close ones. At the same time, we should repent sincerely for our disobedience and insolence towards our parents, elders and teachers. In this way, we will be able to achieve peace and happiness. And only in this way, we will truly be celebrating Christmas Day.
